Submertecs' revolutionary Spyball combines a remote control underwater video camera with pan and tilt unit in one compact assembly that can rotate to look in any direction - without restriction.

Being only 160mm in diameter and with a smooth spherical body, the Spyball can be deployed in situations where other pan and tilt cameras can't safely operate such as fast flowing water or areas where entanglement is a hazard.

The Spyballs unique streamlined shape, size and unrestricted, variable speed rotational capabilities, makes it the ideal tool for a wide range of tasks both above and below water.

Applications include:
Survey and inspection
In water hull surveys
Location of damage and obstructions
Remote surveillance of hazardous sites
Aquaculture
Marine life centres
Police search and rescue
Submarine periscope cameras

Submertec values its ability to respond to customers special requirements and this has led to the ever increasing variety of Spyball and Controller options that form part of the range now on offer. Since delivery of the first Spyballs nearly five years ago, the design has progressively evolved to incorporate features and improvements that make it unsurpassed in terms of durability and performance.

  Peek Non-Metallic Spyball

External metal parts of all standard Spyballs are machined from Aluminium Bronze for resistance to corrosion in seawater. During pressure testing Spyballs have been taken to over 700 metres without failure.

A special non metallic version of the Spyball is now available for use in marine aquariums to eliminate the possibility of harm to sensitive corals etc.
