A 15 inch colour active matrix TFT LCD display mounted in the case lid behind a scratch resistant Polycarbonate window displays a clear and bright image from any of Submertecs` Seaspy cameras. This display has a wide viewing angle, which allows the picture to be viewed by several people at once during recording and playback.

A Sony Digital 8 video recorder built into the panel has Composite Video and Firewire connections provided for post survey editing and copying without sacrificing quality. Large panel mounted control buttons for Stop, Pause and Record have been added to simplify operation during surveys.

Date and Time are automatically recorded on the tape and can be superimposed on the display either immediately or during playback.

When required, a Video Typewriter can be connected to a socket on the panel to superimpose text on the screen.

 
 
 
 

The Seaspy Model B3 controller provides power and control of an underwater video camera and light in a rugged, lightweight and easy to operate package. Housed in an attractive power coated, extruded aluminium case with wipe clean membrane front panel, this unit is ideal for use in dive control rooms or mobile units where space is at a premium.

This unit is compatible with all Submertec cameras and outputs can be configured for use with cameras from most other manufacturers. For maximum flexibility in use, the video amplifiers within the unit can be set for normal or balanced line operation to enable use with either coaxial or twisted pair cables.

  Seaspy Model B3 Video Control Unit

A camera on / off button on the front panel controls the camera supply which can be internally preset to suit the camera type and cable length, with provision to set constant voltage, constant current or current limit as required. Focus control is also provided on the front panel for use with variable focus cameras. Lamp supply can be preset to power a 12 or 24 volt lamp at up to 100 Watts and the output can be preset to a maximum of 30 volts to allow for losses in long cables.

Buttons on the front panel allow the lamp to be switched on / off and intensity varied from maximum brightness to a low level. All connections are to the rear panel which is split to allow a section to be opened for set-up and adjustment. Two independent BNC video outputs are provided to allow additional monitors to be connected if required.This controller is intended to provide basic camera and lamp only functions at minimum cost.

A camera On / Off switch on the front panel controls the camera supply which is preset to 18 volts

Housed in a weather resistant (when closed) case, this unit contains everything needed to carry out a video survey using one of our underwater camera, lamp and cable sets. The Seaspy Model B2 controller provides control for camera power, focus (if required) and variable light intensity.

A Sanyo TLS224 video recorder set into the panel offers an on-screen date & time function, optional time lapse recording up to 12 hours and uses standard VHS tapes. Pictures are displayed on the built in 10 inch colour monitor during recording and playback with a video output routed to the front panel for connection of an additional monitor if required.

A microphone socket and built in amplified speaker complete this versatile control unit. Power required for operation is from 95 to 250 volts AC at up to 3 Amps.

The Seaspy Model C controller forms the heart of a rugged, high quality, underwater video system by providing control and display of an underwater camera with associated light. Housed in an attractive case that can be sealed to IP 65 for shipping or storage and opened on site for use, this unit is equally at home in mobile systems or dive control rooms.

Where more permanent installation is required, the unit can be removed from its case and mounted in a standard 19 inch rack. Control buttons are grouped in a logical arrangement and are clearly marked on the membrane front panel for ease of use. A camera on / off button on the front panel controls the camera supply which can be internally adjusted if required to suit other camera types or extreme cable lengths, with provision to set constant voltage, constant current or current limit as required.

 

Focus control is also provided on the front panel for use with variable focus cameras. Brightness control of underwater lights at up to 300 watts is variable from zero to 120 volts AC and safety protection is provided by isolation transformer and Line Insulation Monitor (LIM) with trip.

A basic text generator is built in which provides date, time and 2 pages of up to 3 lines of text for immediate insertion at the touch of a button. (ie: Company name, Job Number etc.) For more advanced use, a socket is provided on the front panel for connection of an external video typewriter. Connections on the front panel make connection of a video recorder easy, with video and audio being routed back to the built in colour monitor for display during recording and playback.
